Structural Insulated Panels (SIP)

SIPs are structural insulated panels consisting of EPS (expanded polystyrene) sandwiched between 2 layers of OSB (oriented strand board). The panels are most commonly used for exterior wall and roof construction but can also be used for floor construction. In recent years the technology has expanded to EPS with cement board panels and even metal panels in place of the OSB board.
